Just to let the list know: I personally do not have any problem on Solaris with the newer versions (but had with the older ones), but I'm working on resolving this. When finished, I hope to have the Configure-like part of Makefile.PL's wrapped in a module (so it might be used instead of Configure by GP/PARI too ;-).
