brutcopy() was never documented and wasn't used in the library anymore; so I
removed it. I don't want to insert gcopy_av in the headers yet since the
interface (and name, which is horrible) may, and in fact most probably will,
change. When I eventually do it, I will document the function.

What exactly do you need it for, that gclone() does not provide ?  [this will
help me decide the "final" form of the public interface...]
