failure of 2.2.3 build on HP-UX 

Since I know very little of HPUX, I have no clue about these:

  a) USE_GETRUSAGE STACK_CHECK HAS_TIOCGWINSZ are falsely set to 1;

  b) after undefining, making gp-dyn gives:

   /bin/ld: DP relative code in file kernel.o - shared library must be position
   independent.  Use +z or +Z to recompile.

  c) this is

     cc -V
     /usr/ccs/bin/ld: 92453-07 linker linker ld B.10.15 960517

     uname -a
     HP-UX rose B.10.20 A 9000/819 86641372 two-user license
