I was the one who recommended an inclusion of -fomit-frame-pointer as one of default flags, and I must say that I have never run into a problem with this flag. Other flags - yes, like -fstrength-reduce, -fgcse, -fschedule-insns, but never -fomit-frame-pointer. Igor
