I have the same error (after a couple of minutes) in 2.2.0 on OS/2.
It is not caught by the signal handler, BTW (forgot to look at the
exception number; might have been stack overflow.  Wait, OS/2 keeps
the log for me; it was SYS3171:

EXPLANATION: The process was terminated without running exception
handlers because there was not enough room left on the stack to
dispatch the exception.  This is typically caused by exceptions
occurring in exception handlers.
