There is a solution though: [|a<-b,f(a)] but it is probably too ugly for serious consideration. So maybe we should settle on [a|a<-b,f(a)]. Eventually the compier could convert [a|a<-b,f(a)] to old-style [a<-b,f(a)] internally for a small speed improvement. I am not usre it is worth the trouble. Cheers, Bill.
