multiplication of 2 one by one matrices

Hi,

I try to multiply to 1x1 matrices but get an error:

? [1]*[1]

  ***   at top-level: [1]*[1]

  ***                    ^----

  *** _*_: forbidden multiplication t_VEC * t_VEC.

  ***   Break loop: type 'break' to go back to GP

The result should be: 1.

Or am I wrong?
