To avoid these syntaxic problems, nowadays I document these things as

  env CC="g++" Configure

P.S.  The way the list is configured, I needed to do `g'roup reply, then
      remove the Karim's address manually.

      Since list is so quick, maybe it is better to set the reply
      address to the list itself.
