2.0.12.beta 

No problems building 2.0.12.beta on my alpha+linux 2.0.34.

make bench worked fine, with the following times:

+++ Total bench for gp-sta is 4294
+++ Total bench for gp-dyn is 4385

but make test produced output similar to Kimura's, with trivial
differences from getheap() and gettime().
