How does the problem manifest itself ? Can you read in a file containing
a ligne with more than 255 chars (using \r), or is it specific to a line
input at the interactive prompt ?

I do not see any PARI-speficific setting which would cause a text buffer
overflow at 255 chars [ GP default input buffer can hold 1024 chars, and is
supposed to grow as needed ]

P.S: it's rather complicated for me to reproduce Windows-specific problems.
