I must have misremembered, but it'd be a nice enhancement nonetheless.
Btw, logint() function also falls into that category, and would benefit from supporting fractions and reals.

Well, I have tried all the versions starting with 2.0.18 and none of
them support t_REAL or t_FRAC.
