Re: OS X dmg image

I had the same problem as Bernard.    I tried to run it from Terminal by navigating to the appropriate  /bin   directory:

bin boyd$ ./gp
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libgmp.10.dylib
  Referenced from: /Applications/PariGP.app/Contents/Resources/lib/libpari-gmp-2.6.dylib
  Reason: image not found
Trace/BPT trap: 5

If  libgmp.10.dylib  is downloadable, it would be easy to put it into the correct directory.

Hi Pascal
Great news!

I have downloaded your ".dmg" and, after lauch, I have copied "PariGP.app" to my Applications folder. Unfortunately PariGP.app aborts with the following diags:

Last login: Mon Mar 11 18:36:37 on ttys001
imac-de-bernard:~ bernardfischel$ /Applications/PariGP.app/Contents/Resources/bin/gp-2.6 ; exit;
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libgmp.10.dylib
  Referenced from: /Applications/PariGP.app/Contents/Resources/lib/libpari-gmp-2.6.dylib
  Reason: image not found
Trace/BPT trap: 5
logout

[Opération terminée]

I'm running this version of MacOs: Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63).

I have some questions:
- Do you have tested PariGP.app under "Terminal" or some other "exotic" app?
- Does PariGP.app run at start level of directories i.e.: /  ?
- Does it runs with some privileges: Admin, root, ... ?

Many thanks in advance
Bernard

Hello,

I have made a .dmg image of pari-2.5.3, available at http://pari.math.u-bordeaux1.fr/~pascal/PariGP-2.5.3.dmg

If it works correctly, it could be made available from the download page.

One problem with this version : I compiled it using my git repo and checkout to 2.5.3. As a consequence gp pretends
to be a 2.6-git version. How can I fix this when compiling ? (I can download the 2.5.3 tar, of course, but I would rather
just switch branch and obtain what I intend to).

Another issue : I first did everything with relative paths so that one could put the app anywhere, however it failed just because of
the help paths, which are absolute install-time paths. How can I change this ?
