Hi Bill,

the translation is almost correct (it's understandable but slightly changing 
meaning of some statements) so I would  suggest the following modification:

(my suggestion)

PARI/GP je systém počítačové algebry široce používaný pro rychlé
výpočty v teorii čísel (prvočíselné rozklady, algebraická teorie čísel, eliptické křivky...),  obsahuje ale také velké
množství užitečných funkcí pro práci s maticemi, polynomy, mocninnými řadami, algebraickými čísly atd. 
V PARI/GP je kromě toho implementováno mnoho transcendentních funkcí. 
PARI je rovněž k dispozici jako knihovna funkcí jazyka C umožňující rychlejší výpočty.

Systém PARI byl původně vyvinut Henri Cohenem a jeho spolupracovníky z  Univerzity Bordeaux I ve Francii, 
nyní je šířen pod licencí GPL a spravován
Karimem Belabasem za pomoci mnoha dalších přispěvatelů.
